WHAT YOU NEED
Welcome to the Travel Prep Center — your go-to resource for getting ready to serve with Hearts In Motion! Whether you’re traveling for the first time or returning for another mission, this page will help you prepare with confidence.
Before you go
1. Passport & Documentation
- Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates.
- Make two copies of your passport: one for your luggage and one to leave at home.
- Take a photo of your passport and save it on your phone.
- U.S. residents of other countries should bring their resident visa and supporting paperwork.
2. Vaccinations & Health
- No vaccinations are required, but HIM recommends:
- Tetanus
- Hepatitis A
- COVID-19 vaccine
- Check with your doctor for personalized medical advice
3. Customs Forms
Guatemala and Ecuador require online customs forms for both entry and exit. These must be completed within 72 hours of travel. HIM will text you the link when it’s time to fill it out.
Important! Save the confirmation email and keep it accessible while traveling.
