HELPING FAMILIES THRIVE

New Directions

New Directions provides immediate, practical support to over 30 families annually in Northwest Indiana recovering from domestic violence, house fires, or homelessness. We help families transition from shelters into permanent housing by offering complete home setups—furniture, bedding, housewares, clothing, toys, and more—at no cost.

A stable home is the foundation for recovery. Our program fosters dignity, stability, and hope, helping children stay in school, parents return to work, and families connect to vital community services.

We rely on community support through donations, volunteers, and financial contributions. New Directions is the only program in the region offering this level of support—helping families not just survive, but thrive.

I am grateful. The girls’ beds and toys were so good, they’re happy. It’s gonna feel like home. Thank you so much for helping me and my kids.”
