Marilyn's Bakery
Barb Tracy, owner of Marilyn’s Bakery in Northwest Indiana, turned her passion for baking into a powerful tool for change. Partnering with Hearts In Motion, Barb funded the construction of a fully functioning bakery on our Gualan Campus in Guatemala—a space designed to teach job skills and create employment opportunities for young adults.
But Barb didn’t stop there.
She travels regularly to Gualan, bringing culturally adapted recipes and hands-on instruction to ensure the bakery thrives using local ingredients. Her commitment empowers students with real-world culinary skills and a pathway to independence.
